Dev, daughter of former union minister Santosh Mohan Dev has recently switched over to the TMC from the Congress. The youth leader was earlier heading the women’s wing of the Congress.
Meanwhile, TMC supremo and West Bengal CM, Mamata Banerjee’s candidature in the Bhabanipur bypoll has been opposed by her BJP rival Priyanka Tibrewal for non-disclosure by Banerjee of pending criminal cases against her in Assam police stations of Geeta Nagar, Pan Bazaar, Jagiroad, North Lakhimpur and Udharbond.
Tibrewal’s chief election agent Sajal Ghosh lodged a complaint with the returning officer accusing the CM of concealing at least five criminal proceedings pending against her in her nomination papers.
