United Nations: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has sparked a row by once again raising the Jammu & Kashmir issue in his address at the UN General Assembly session on Tuesday.
It would be pertinent to mention that last year too, Erdogan in a video statement to the General Debate spoke about Jammu and Kashmir. India had strongly objected to Erdogan’s reference stating, “it is completely unacceptable.”
On Tuesday, Erdogan said: “We maintain our stance in favour of solving the ongoing problem in Kashmir for 74 years, through dialogue between the parties and within the framework of relevant United Nations resolutions.”
A close friend of Pakistan, it is no suprise that the Turkish President would be benevolent towards Islamabad which he has proved over and over again.
