Washington: The United States President Donald Trump and his Democratic challenger Joe Biden are battling it out for the White House, with polls gradually closing across the United States on Tuesday.
The US media projecting wins for the Republican incumbent so far in 12 states including Indiana, Kentucky, Oklahoma, Tennessee and West Virginia — all states he won in 2016.
In the vital battleground of Florida, a must-win state for Trump as 270 electoral votes needed to win the presidency.
Trump and Biden were essentially tied at about 49% with about 81% of estimated votes recorded.
