New Delhi: Veteran journalist Vinod Dua passed away at the age of 67 on Saturday. Dua was admitted to the intensive care unit of a Delhi hospital.
Earlier in the year, he tested positive for COVID-19 and was admitted to hospital after his condition deteriorated.
A well-known name in television journalism, Vinod Dua worked with Doordarshan and NDTV for the larger part of his career apart from doing TV shows on other channels and online portals.
“Our irreverent, fearless and extraordinary father, Vinod Dua has passed away. He lived an inimitable life, rising from the refugee colonies of Delhi to the peak of journalistic excellence for over 42 years, always, always speaking truth to power. He is now with our mom, his beloved wife Chinna in heaven where they will continue to sing, cook, travel and drive each other up the wall,” his daughter Mallika Dua posted on social media.
Mallika Dua also informed that the cremation would be held at the Lodhi crematorium at noon on Sunday, December 5.
Vinod Dua is survived by daughters, Bakul Dua, a clinical psychologist, and Mallika Dua, a comedian.
