Kolkata: The Chief Secretary of West Bengal has submitted a report to the Election Commission on Friday regarding the alleged attack on Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.
The report sent by West Bengal government to the Election Commission does not mention the claim of attack by four-five people. An official of the State Election Commission revealed the development. However, the presence of a large crowd at the scene has been mentioned in the report.
The report said that no clear footage of where the incident took place is available.
Mamata Banerjee was injured in Birulia Bazar in East Medinipur district on March 10 during campaigning after filing nomination papers for the Nandigram seat. She had alleged that she was injured after being manhandled ‘four-five’ people.
