Mumbai: The suspense over the biopic of former Indian skipper Sourav Ganguly doesn’t seem to end. After speculations that either Hrithik Roshan or Ranbir Kapoor would essay the legendary southpaw in the biopic to be produced by Luv Films, there is a new twist to the tale.

According to a portal, filmmaker R Balki is making a film on a left- handed batter for which he has roped in Abhishek Bachchan. Though there has been no confirmation on the project, the buzz is strong that Balki is set to helm the Ganguly biopic.

Ganguly himself on his quiz show Dadagiri, had said Ranbir would step into his shoes, but now date issues are an impediment which is why Ranbir has said no to the film.
