With 19 Medals, Team India Reach New Heights At Paralympic History

Kolkata: Nineteen medals including five gold – give it to our para athletes who have rewritten history with the biggest tally in the history of the games. The number is also unprecedented – as our athletes surpassed the 13-medal feat at the Summer Youth Olympics in 2018, the highest before the Tokyo gala at any global multi-sports event. India also bagged eight silver and six bronze to go with the five gold medals at the Tokyo Paralympics.

Millions of Indians will bask in glory as shooter Avani Lekhara, a gold-medal winner carries the National Flag at the closing ceremony of the Tokyo Paralympics.
