The ordeal he has had to go through unfortunately for being the son of Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan has been painful with audiences and critics slamming him for ‘non-performance’.
Time and again his real worth as an actor has been diminished for his filial connections, but he has faced it all with his head high and is now on a comeback trail with four films in hand.
“I’ve four projects ahead and I will be shooting all through 2021. I guess I’m fortunate. Every actor has gone through the situation of his work drying up. I am no exception. That I’ve so much work on hand right now and that too work which excites me is just so providential. I’m thankful for this phase in my career. I’m enjoying it thoroughly,” says Abhishek in an interview to a website (www.bollywoodhungama.com). And he is no mood to throw his hands in despair.
Talking about his forthcoming, Anurag Basu’s Ludo, he says, “I’d say, it is what we need right now. God knows, all of us are going through the worst crisis civilization has faced. I survived the Covid. So did my family. There are many who aren’t that fortunate. We all need a reason to smile. I think Ludo will put that smile on everyone’s face.”
The fact that he is on a high is validated by the number of producers eager to sign him on and for sure, he will have his work to prove his detractors wrong. We are waiting! And let’s give him space to go about things peacefully – in the process he will get his true due as an actor. All the best Abhishek.
